If the document is signed or stamped - it may need to be translated by an authorised translator
An authorised translation is carried out by a state-authorised translator who has been issued with an official translator's licence and who is thus authorised to stamp and confirm with his or her signature that the translation is a complete and accurate reproduction of the source text.
When do you need a state-authorised translation?
In most countries, public authorities and institutions require the translation of public documents and certificates (see the list below for examples) to be carried out by a state-authorised translator. If you are unsure what is required of your document, we recommend that you contact the recipient of your translation.
Documents that typically need to be authorised:
Company certificates, articles of association, powers of attorney, contracts, tax documents, inheritance documents, land registrations, medical certificates, death certificates, case documents, name certificates, adoption papers, marriage certificates, separation licences, divorce licences, transcripts, diplomas, employment certificates, course certificates, birth certificates, police certificates, etc. If you can't find your document in the list, we can probably help you anyway.
Our prices
Unfortunately, we are unable to quote prices in advance as all documents are handled differently, and we are dependent on consulting an authorised translator before we can quote a price for your specific documents. We operate with a minimum price of NOK 995.00 excluding VAT (NOK 1,243.75 including VAT).
We treat your texts confidentially
All documents we work with are treated confidentially. When you upload your document via our website, this is done via a secure file upload as our website is encrypted. All translators who collaborate with Autorisering.no are also subject to full confidentiality.

Professional industry translations
It can be difficult to distinguish between a state-authorised and a normal professional translation. A state-authorised translation is required by authorities to ensure accurate reproduction of information in the source text. A normal professional translation is a translation of all types of texts from almost all types of industries. For example, if you need a technical, legal or medical translation that will not be used in a public context, we can also help you.
