What is an agency-certified translation?

An agency-certified translation is a translation carried out by a native translator who translates your document, close to word-for-word. However, unlike the authorised translator, this translator does not have their own stamp - this does not affect the quality of your translation, they just haven't received the specific diploma that makes them authorised. There can be various reasons for this, for example that the chosen language combination is simply not offered at NHH and therefore they cannot receive this stamp. To certify your translation, we as an agency will instead sign that the translation has been correctly translated, and in this way we can vouch for the authenticity of the translation. This is not the same as an authorised translation.

Why should I choose a company certified translation over an authorised translation?

It depends on your needs and those of the recipient. Often the recipient will specify whether they need a sworn or certified translation, or they will only ask for an authorised translation, where they only need proof that you have not translated it yourself. It makes sense to investigate the recipient's requirements before initiating the translation.

Financially, you can often save a lot by choosing a certified translation - depending on which language combination you choose. You can always request a quote for both.

What does a company certified translation cost?

Before we can give you a specific quote, we need to see your document, and then we will get back to you with a non-binding offer. If you are unable to send us a scan of your document, you can send us a description and word count.

Delivery time and submission of translations
The delivery time varies greatly from translation to translation, but we endeavour to complete a translation within 2-10 days. However, this varies somewhat depending on the language combination and the length of the document. Contact us to get a timeframe for your translation. We send all translations by post to a GLS parcel shop near you.
